Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Chardonnay 2021

Menetettyään noin 90 % sadosta vuonna 2021 Lafonilla päädyttiin tekemään normaalista poikkeavia blendejä. Tähän normaalisti Mâcon Villagesiin käytetyt Chardonnayn kylä appellaation rypäleet sekoitettiin maineikkaan Clos de la Crochetten kanssa ja pullotettiin kyläviininä. Viini on valmistettu kuten tavallista. Alkoholikäyminen luonnon hiivakannoilla ja kypsytys on tapahtunut suurissa 45-55 hehtolitran tammisammioissa puolen vuoden ajan.

93/100 p Decanter: The Lafon holdings in the northern Mâconnais lost 90% of their production in 2021. As with Bussières, the Mâcon-Chardonnay is blended. The wine is usually a single vineyard from the walled Clos de la Crochette; this year, other parcels in Chardonnay have been added. The quality of the wine, however, is not in doubt. There are charming nectarine and lime peel aromas with a hint of fresh acacia flowers. The texture shows the lively acidity of the year, but there is enough body and ripeness here to balance it and give it a pleasantly lingering finish.
